Artemis: Manual assessment of selected students for instructors

Currently there are two assessment options for programming exercises in Artemis:

  • Automatic assessment (points for exercises are calculated via passed tests)
  • Manual assessment (student submissions only give a preliminary result and final points are given after manual review of tutors or instructors)

Problem:

If there is more than one student submission that has not been reviewed manually by a tutor, clicking "Assess Submission" always shows the latest submission of a random student.

Reason:

Artemis uses double blind grading.

This is fine for tutors, but instructors should be able to access specific student submissions directly.

Solution:

Change the button logic for instructors in Scores view to redirect them to the selected student's submission.

Remark: These changes should be discussed with Artemis developers in Munich before being applied
